Our 1st Lady

Minister Georgia Payne was born in Bonita, Louisiana. She is the first born of five children, and part of a large extended family. She grew up in Fairbanks Alaska. The family later moved to Spokane Washington where she graduated from Joel E. Ferris high school. Minister Payne attended Washington State University, but earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Central Washington University. She remains a WSU Cougar at heart. She also has post graduate work in Eastern Washington University’s Master of Social Work program. She holds a diploma in Practical Theology from International Seminary, Plymouth Florida. Minister Payne retired in July 2020 after 34 years of service with the Department of Social and Health Services as Sr. Manager of the Division of Child Support’s statewide Tribal Relations program.
Minister Payne was called into the ministry in 2015 and preached her first sermon in September of that year. She serves as the Children’s Church Director, also in the Helping Hands Mission Ministry, Godly Ladies of Wisdom Women’s Ministry, Solid Rock Seniors Ministry, as a Sunday School teacher, and is part of the ministerial staff. Minister Payne loves teaching and preaching the Word of God. She became the First Lady of Second Baptist Church in Everett WA, when her husband Rev. Hiller Payne accepted the office of Pastor in 2022.
Minister Payne and Reverend Hiller Payne have been married for 24 years. Together they have 3 adult children, 9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. She is also an avid quilter. She has made over 30 quilts in the past 10 years, most of them gifted to family, friends, and to charity.
Minister Payne counts it a privilege to be in the service of the Lord and is grateful for His many blessings over the years.
