What We Believe

The Scriptures

We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired word of God. That it is truth without any mixture of error. And that it is the supreme and final standard by which all human conduct, creeds and opinions should be judged.

The True God

We believe that there is one and only one living and true God. An intelligent, spiritual and personal being, the Creator, Preserver and Ruler of the universe, infinite in holiness and all other perfections to whom we owe highest love, reverence and obedience. He is revealed to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three persons are God having precisely the same nature, attributes and perfections.

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the eternal existence of Jesus Christ. We believe that He is God. We believe in His incarnation and virgin birth, and His substitutionary death on the cross as the atonement for sin, His literal, bodily resurrection from the dead, that He now makes intercession for us in heaven and we believe that He will personally return to earth in the future.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is God, the third person of the Godhead, that He convicts men on sin, He regenerates, baptizes, indwells, seals and sets believers apart unto a life of holiness. That He is the teacher of the word of God, our guide for daily living, and He keeps and empowers believers day by day.

Man

We believe that man was created innocent in a state of righteousness and holiness. Adam fell through the sin of disobedience. Therefore, all men being descendants of Adam, are corrupted in body, soul and spirit; and all men need redemption.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace, through personal faith in Jesus Christ. It is a free gift of God apart from works, salvation requires repentance, a turning from one’s own way submitting to God’s way. All who truly receive Jesus Christ are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and become the children of God. True salvation will be manifested by a changed life.

The Future

We believe in the personal, visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ to earth. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just where they will live eternally in God’s glory; and we believe in the bodily resurrection of the unjust to receive judgement and everlasting punishment in the lake of fire.
